It’s the most beautiful time of the year as fall has officially arrived in town. The beautiful season must definitely be accompanied by beautiful clothing, and recently we saw a breath-taking collection called “Enchanted Garden” by Indian luxury brand Patine. The private showcasing of the Autumn-Winter 15/16 recently took place in The Oberoi hotel, where the swish set of the capital gathered to witness an exquisite line of ensembles that celebrated fine arts and crafts of India. The promoter of the brand Shon Randhawa along with her partner and mother Chand Balbir Singh established the brand in 2007, and in 2008 they were joined by Geeti Mehra.
Patine’s A-W 15/16 line mainly consists of Indian ethnic and fusion silhouettes in classic jewel tones like emerald green, sapphire blue, ruby red, yellow and more. Speaking to us, Geeti Mehra mentioned that the highlight of this collection is the beautiful floral embroidery which is also a signature style of the brand. She said, “We are trying to revive the age old heritage craft of Parsi Ghara, Chikankari and Kashmiri hand embroidery through this collection. Most of the clothes that you see on the runway are made of handwoven textiles, and we have designed it in a contemporary fashion like capes, jumpsuits, saris and flared palazzos so that it appeals to modern women.”
