Solo traveller’s guide for navigating Seychelles’ scenic trails and beaches – Miss Junebug

Solo traveller’s guide for navigating Seychelles’ scenic trails and beaches

There is something magical about travelling alone. It is not just the freedom to follow your own schedule or the thrill of exploring new places at your own pace, it is also the chance to truly connect with yourself. I had long been dreaming of taking a solo trip to an exotic destination, where I could immerse myself in nature, experience breathtaking landscapes, and still feel safe while travelling alone.

After much thought, I finally settled on Seychelles, a tropical paradise with crystal-clear waters, pristine beaches, and lush greenery. Even though I was excited about my choice, I knew planning a solo trip to a place I had never been before could be challenging. That is when I turned to Thrillophilia. After reading countless Thrillophilia reviews, I decided to trust them with my dream trip. Most of the reviews talk about their seamless planning, attention to detail, and personalised itineraries. Everything I read gave me confidence that they could deliver exactly the type of adventure I was looking for.

The moment I arrived in Seychelles, I was struck by how beautiful everything was. The islands felt like a slice of heaven. The trip started with a scenic ferry ride to Praslin, the second-largest island in Seychelles. As the boat glided over the sparkling blue water, I felt an overwhelming sense of excitement. This was the beginning of an adventure I had been dreaming about for so long. When I stepped onto the island, the beauty of Praslin blew me away with white sandy beaches, palm trees swaying in the breeze, and an ocean so clear that I could see the coral reefs below. Thrillophilia had arranged for my stay at a lovely hotel right by the beach. The room was perfect as it offered comfort, privacy, and the most incredible view of the garden with the beach in front. I spent the first few days just soaking in the island vibes, strolling along the beach, and enjoying moments of solitude. Praslin is home to some of the most famous beaches in the world, like Anse Lazio and Anse Georgette. I spent hours wandering their shores while marvelling at the dramatic granite boulders and calm waters. My favourite activity if you ask me was to just sit still and take it all in!

The next thing planned was a day trip to La Digue, a nearby island famous for its laid back atmosphere and stunning beaches. Upon arriving, I rented a bicycle to explore the island. This was one of my favourite parts of the trip – cycling through quiet and scenic roads, passing charming Creole houses, and stopping at hidden coves along the way. Anse Source d’Argent is one of the most photographed beaches in the world, and it was the highlight of my time on La Digue. The towering granite boulders contrasted beautifully with the white sand and clear blue waters. I spent the entire day here, taking in the peaceful surroundings and even going for a swim in the warm and shallow waters. It is true that no trip to Seychelles is complete without snorkelling, and I could not wait to explore the vibrant marine life the islands are known for. Thrillophilia had planned an excursion to St. Pierre Island, which is a snorkelling hotspot. As I dived in the water, I was amazed by the colourful coral reefs, schools of tropical fish, and a few sea turtles that swam gracefully nearby.

The final leg of my journey took me to Mahe, the largest island in Seychelles. By this point, I had already fallen in love with the islands, but Mahe had its own unique charm that quickly captured my heart. The tour started with a visit to the Victoria Clock Tower. From there, I visited the local market, where I got to sample some delicious Seychellois street food and pick up souvenirs for friends back home. The Seychelles National Botanical Garden was indeed a peaceful spot, where I loved learning about the island’s flora and fauna from our knowledgeable guide. Thank You, Thrillophilia for a seamless solo journey!
