Spring Summer is all about colours, and recently Indian multi-designer store Ekaya introduced a breath-taking line of creations by Play Clan. The exquisite craftsmanship of Ekaya amalgamated with Play Clan’s eclectic visual style in this collection that explores the classical Indian dance forms on hand woven Banaras saris. Bharat Shah with daughter Palak Shah of Ekaya in association with Himanshu and Dhruti Dogra of Play Clan launched this gorgeous collection called “Nritya”. The striking points of this line were the clever use of bold Indian colors played up as graphics on lehenga sets, saris and dupattas.

On the occasion said Bharat Shah, “It is a very enriching and an exciting partnership for us. With use of strong illustrative graphics with Play Clan, Ekaya is now further exploring new dimensions. They understood that woven saris are not just for the older Indian women, but also for a younger audience.” To which Himanshu Dogra of Play Clan added, “We have been fascinated with Banaras and already have a big collection called ‘ Banarasi’ at Play Clan. So when we were looking at using Banarasi weaving, we had an immediate connect with Ekaya, a heritage brand that is a torchbearer for the weaving traditions of India.”
