Rains make everything look pretty – in this beautiful weather the best indulgence for us is shopping for pretty outfits. As we headed to the posh Diva’ni store in the capital’s busy South-Ex II market, all we wished for was a blissful drizzle that was instantly granted by the gods up above. However, the fashion gods in the store had another surprise for us they gave us an exclusive preview of their Monsoon collection titled ‘First Drizzle’.
Parineeta, designer at Diva’ni, showed us the beautiful hand-painted saris and embellished occasion wear for women. She also mentioned that the Indian ethic wear in bright colours are crafted exclusively keeping in mind the comfort and latest trends. The bridal wear in soft pastels like pink, mint green, beige etc constitute one line; whereas, another ethic wear line in jeweled tones like orange, fuchsia and crimson also compliments the mood.
Speaking about the latest addition in the store, she says, “The First Drizzle collection is Diva’ni’s ode to the young diva celebrated by celluloid. It is all about colours, exuberance and love. The beautiful peach and pink floral prints are paired with chic grey shades in simple, wearable silhouettes. The idea is to keep the mood light and happy with this prêt (ready to wear) range.”
Price – Starting range from Rs 6,000 for prêt line and goes up to Rs 2,00,000 for bridal wear
