Luxe Spring 2015 – Miss Junebug

Fashion is for all but luxury is for a select few. This Spring\Summer is touted to be one of the most luxurious seasons in the past decade, as one can see the jewelled tones and bright hues taking over the mainstream fashion. Internationally, all the major high-end labels like Lousi Vitton, Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu and Prada have generously used embellishments in their S\S 14 collections.

Whereas, the others like Mulberry, Stella McCartney, Erdem etc are taking the floral route and celebrating the bright floral effects. The usage of intricate floral prints and embroidery are very notable in the feminine ensembles crafted by these labels.

However, the colour of this season is definitely pink and shades of pink. Brands like Burberry Prorsum, Prada, Stella McCartney, Victoria Beckham, Antonio Berardi etc have created very fine collections comprising of pink skirts, tops and dresses. The other shade, which is here to stay and rule this season, would be mint green. With brands like Chanel, Miu Miu and Christopher Kane endorsing this shade in most of its ensembles, this beautiful shade promises to be in the limelight for a longer span of time.

Here are some of my favouite S-S 15 looks from Indian runway, take a look.

A model in Tarun Tahiliani ensemble. Decode the look — A bright colour like flaming orange balanced beautifully with cool blue. Quirk elements added with a cool clutch, matching shoes, scarf wrapped as turban and a pair of hipster circular glasses.
A model in Urvashi Kaur ensemble. Decode the style — Checkered half sari with Chinese collared blouse and super comfy palazzo pants. Bonus points for super mix and match of prints and beautiful usage of indigo and white colour play.
A model displays an outfit by Neeta Bhargava. Decode the style — Beautiful play of cuts and layered effect in cool linen and organic cottons. Style in simplicity is hard to achieve — and the cool pair of sneakers with this outfit is a testimony to the fact.
A model displays an ensemble by Siddhartha Tytler. Decode the style — Lady-like elegance in a sheer crop top paired with a peach pencil skirt. The cherry on top is the organza fascinator that adds an understated luxe factor.
